수영장에는 반사율 및 눈부심, 조명타입,유지보수 가능여부, 직접조명과 간점조명 등 다양한 설계 측면을 고려 해야 함

조명은 인공적,자연적이든 수영장 표면에서 발생하는 눈부심과 반사를 최소화 해야함

물속에서 수영하는 사람들과 수영장 주변의 스태프들 모두의 관점에서 눈부심이나 반사를 피하기 위해 조명을 배치하고 각도를 맞춰야 함

조명 타입 선택은 매우 중요하며 정반사를 피하기 위해 간접조명 사용이 바람직함
